I also didn't receive anything for entering.
I did however get a 30 day CD key to start a new account in eve (somewhere in the middle of the contest)
I think noone got disqualified as long as they followed rules:
Six uncolored, line drawings + (7th rendered view)
Made specially for the contest
Had a length shown on the submission (plus the ship couldn't be shorter then 50m or longer then 1km)
Didn't had any signature or watermark
and
didn't use any 3rd party textures

these deviantart guys were prolly just very overwhelmed because all of the countless submissions,
smoked som pot over the problem and came up with an idea to use a random number generator to pick the finalists.
problem solved.
THIS IS FUBAR!!!
Iˇm as mad as the next guy who put more then 24h+ of work in to this

still, whole deal feels as if DA wasn't prepared for the number and quality of competitors. LA battlecruiser addition/removal and commentary. too casual. even if all was just marketing, it's tremendous opportunity lost. i don't really see how can they get out of this mess without CCP stepping in.

ok saying again what I think:
CCP should look over the submissions themselves.
I will not ever take part in any DA contest again.
I find DA judges to by lazy (at best) and PR dude to be a lying ****.

Mayb CCP should say "fukc u guys too" to DA and retract the prizes, see how they like the changing rules in the middle of the contest... they called us whiners in DA... lol ...I bet all my isk, there will be as much, if not even more whine in DA threads then.
just call the whole contest void, retract the prizes, apologize to contesters and do the contest all over in eve environment, with live EVE-TV judging of the submissions etc... just take it out of the hands of these DA ****s, but allow to resubmit the DA jobs.
